The historic market towns of Skipton, Clitheroe and Settle are just 20 minutes away by car (approximately 10 miles).

The local village, Gisburn (21/2 miles), offers a post office, garage, public house, cafes and diner (ice cream parlour).

The local area offers many attractions with its historic castles and towns, ancient geological features and caves, and is close to the home of the Bronte sisters and Pendle Witches.

For walkers we have many local footpaths and quiet lanes full of wild flowers and wildlife. For the more adventurous there are the high fells of the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales.

For cyclists we have Gisburn Forest with miles of cycle track. With routes for the family and routes to challenge your off road skills.

Leave the car and take a barge trip or steam engine ride through picturesque countryside. Or walk the many footpaths which link up to the Ribble and Pennine Ways.

For those who enjoy shopping, visit the many mill shops and markets in the area and for the more adventurous, take a day trip to Lightwater Valley or Camelot theme parks.

The list of activities is endless with the Lake District, West Coast and Yorkshire Dales easily accessible by car.
